It's 1:11 am and I'm sitting at the wierd-semi-med-records area at del. suites at the Angliss. I've been here since 7am - that's right 18hrs. I'm so brain-dead at the moment that it actually took me 4 goes to do the calculations of how many hrs I had been here wit hthe use of my fingers...
But! I have finished by log book. Just today, I've done:
1x clinic
5x clerk and present
1x normal vaginal delivery
1x c-section (will be doing it very soon - my lady obstructed again! One of the midwives took pity and let me come in at the oppurtune moment of another womans labour. I was happy!)
And it is complete! Apart from the overwhelming desire to veg out and not care, I'd like to yell scream and get the lady I've been doing hrly obs on to deliver. Even now, at a time where I usually feel very sorry for myself, I feel more sorry for her - she's exhausted. She's earnt that baby (not that 9 months of carrying a parasite around doesn't mean anything)
So let's see this (new) day off with a bang (and hopefully a new baby!)
