Why is it that people argue so vehemently about religion? Discuss.
hahahaha...that's a pretty theologically challenging question to be answered in one post.
It's what people hold dear to their heart to make sense of this world. How i view this world and how you view the world thus determines how we react to a similar situation, but results in different outcomes due to different sets of understanding.
This then can create potential friction if the two parties are not willing to listen and understand with an opinion different from theirs.
Sometimes its easier to argue science. People agree with tangible objects a lot more easier than the whole issue of personal faith and experience.
Then again, it is difficult to convince the other person of your beliefs when you yourself are conviced that the other person needs the convincing.
