pet hate...

I really hate case reports...

REALLY REALLY HATE THEM - almost as much as EB-fucking CP and HEM and all that...

"But case reports are medical!" I hear you say? Why yes, they are! But they are also a waste of time, as we get to pick a condition that we know to death (and Nephrotic syndrome, which I'm intrigued by and don't know in that much depth). Most people are doing asthma/boring shit. Now a lot of med becomes like that after a while, coz like you see 2 dozen of them and you get sick of it. sadly I usually see 1 case per rotation, so I know a grand total of 8 diseases at the moment.

But even that doesn't piss me off- what really SHITS me is that you write irrelevant crap! Like they presented with this did that - all that jazz - who cares? it was only 1 case! Yes, I know if I was doing, oh-I-dunno, Aicardi syndrome or sitesterolaemia or Tietze's it might be worth it, coz like you know, there's only like 100 diagnosed cases in the world (and I have seen all three durig paeds =D ) But nephrotic syndrome? I mean c'mon! Sure it aint the common cold, but seriously -you follow a treatment regime like any other condition...

I think I'm just whinging coz I have no idea how to write these properly. On top of that I haven't done my DLA's and hence I',m whingy bitch. As well as this, I've wasted 3 of the 4 nights this week. Concurrently, I've also been really tired and sleeeeeepy.

In essense, i was lazy and now I'm stressed so I'm whinging... but hey it's my blog, if you don't like it, then go the f$%k away!

PS - if you just happened to look up the aforementioned conditions - sucks to you! Tietze's is quite common - at ED I picked the diagnosis, so it was my ego boost thought =D
