My parents have been playing with the Wii!
Tis the funniest thing to watch. Thou my mum can beat me at bowling (she keeps getting strikes!) Today, I got them to play Big Brain Academy. My mum picked up the game quite well (still sucks, but hey) my dad is good at the maths ones but throw in lateral thinking or anything a bit harder - he's gone!
At the end of it all, I sat back and watched my mum and my dad play while I did some house work and for the first time in ages, it seemed that we were doing something as a family. That technology, which so far has alienated my brother and I from our parents is now at a level that we can all enjoy it. This is why I've always liked Nintendo - they make simple things. But those things are fun. In the end, things can look prettier or have better physics engines, but isn't FUN the reason that games exist in the first place?
In conclusion - thanks Nintendo. The Wii really is something for the whole family.

I don't own any consoles, but am considering getting a PS2 because they're cheap now. That and the fact that Guitar Hero is so cool
