Ahh well - Gold Coast was awesome!! So I don't care if I was missed or not ...so nyeah!
I didn't actually end up getting up to much there. Which is kinda funny - coz i don't remember sitting there going - damn it, I'm bored!!! Caught up with the high school boiz. They haven't changed a bit - albeit for the 3 month old kid, impending marriage, long term girlfriend, moving to brisbane and cool djing gigs.
On the left is melbourne at take off and the right is arriving at the coast. Enuff said about the weather =D
I went back to my ol' high school. T'was kinda.... fun! Obviously I had no idea who the students were, but hey supposedly Waha's sister goes there now - and everyone thinks that's MY sister. Nice to see they're still getting us mixed up! I actually went and took a lot of photos whilst walking around and talking to teachers. The once sacred staff rooms are kinda... strange to sit in and have lunch, especially with the ol' teachers.
The left is where we used to sit for lunch. Soooooo many food fights happened in that tine 25 sqm area! Notice how there are TREES and CONCRETE and METAL STUFF everywhere? We used to play tackle rugby there as well and a bit to the left. People REALLY got hurt. And to the left was our in famous Bashball© courts as well... didn't take photos thou - too many blood stains =P The middle is the staff room with PIZZA! The teacher in the middle is Mrs Hopley - my ol' biol teacher. On the right is our library - it's bright YELLOW... enuff said.
Caught up with a lot of my friends as well. Lots of shopping, late nights with pizza, walking around the coast and trips to BrisVegas. Here are some more photos!
Left and onwards - me with Alice. She says she's changed lots. I say she's put on weight. In the middle my cousin Mahir (boy) and the lil' baby - only 2 months old! My new cousin Amana. And on the right - me with the retards. Now in this photo we're all actually laughing coz Kimson (right) has a character of a mum. She has leukaemia, so chemo killed her hair, but not her sense of humour. We were all expecting say "Cheese" instead she goes "say "I'm gay!!!!" We all pissed ourselves laughing. Ryo is the jap guy on my right. And Rob is the one on the far right - he has a 3 month ol' kid now as well and an imminent wedding.
Caught up with Nick as well - my DJ/retro-electro/bogan friend. He dresses like a grand dad. He has some awesome friends and knows about all these quirky places in Bris, such as the infinity room. How sunny does the city look thou?!
Went to this cool underground electronica thingy with Nick as well. Basically - it's like an old storage shed (huge) with these random platforms, ladders, rope pulleys etc. It's dark and there is a lamp for light. There is a smoke machine and basically you follow the lamp to each new act. In the middle is Suckafish Jones - one of the local Dj's we met. He plays some cool tunes which are a mix of Shadow, Aquasky and a bit of Kid Kinobe - our fave act!!
Wahyu was a hard man to get hold of - he works too much! But finally we met up at Jupiter's Casino for dinner and some gamblin' ;) The 2 people in the group shot that are smiling won money - the other 2 lost =P Luckily I'm smilin' won like $100 that night =D Woulda won more if I didn't listen to Ryo... tsk. And the last photo is just some building I took at 2 sec. exposure after shopping one day.
Tran (ryo's gf) finished exams the day I left, so we caught up and had foo. OMG she has the highest pitch voice EVER. IF you think (like me) that Esther is bad - wait til you hear Tran!!! And how ol' school is their Sofitel???? It has a huge building behind it - that's just the front =P
Well that about wraps up my trip! Bought 1 jacket, 2 t-shirts, 1 shirt, 2 DVDs and was given ANOTHER Pocket PC which I gave to dad and money - so I basically broke even at the end of it. How awesome is that?!
